Integrated Arts Therapy to Increase Self-Expression and Adaptibility for a Child of a Divorced Family
Lee Chong-Sil

Abstract
This case study shows a successful application of music and other artistic tools to the treatment of a child with a problem of stealing who has gone through his parents¡¯divorce and remarriage. The client doesn¡¯ get enough love and proper care, which are indispensable for early developmental periods, because of parents¡¯discordance, separation and remarriage. The therapist tries to provide a facilitating environment where the client can express his emotional distress, and counseling for the parents to understand their children better and to create a nurturing environment for them. Through short six sessions, the client began to express himself actively and assertively in his new environment and to build an intimate relationship with his step-mother.
